![]() ![]() ![]() You can't edit the text, but for just running the file or tweaking cut settings, this will work, and should save you a few trips back to the house. This release of LightBurn stores a copy of the generated text shape in the project file, and will use that if it can't find the font. If you use one machine to design, and another to run the laser, you might have run into the problem of not having the same fonts installed on the laser system, so when you load a project, the text looks wrong. The specific windows enabled are also saved / restored, so the console window will hide for a CO2 system, and reappear for diodes. Your speed / units settings are now remembered with the laser, so switching to a CO2 from a diode will switch you from mm/min to mm/sec (or whatever you use), and auto-load your material library for the machine. If you have more than one laser, and they're different types or wattages, there are new features in LightBurn that will make moving between them cleaner, and we'll be continuing to improve this in the future. (for anyone anxiously awaiting the upcoming galvo/fiber release, this isn't it - not quite ready yet) Users with multiple lasers This board does not offer control of power through software - we recommend upgrading the board to take full advantage of LightBurn. There are lots of new things in this release, so we'll cover the big ones here, then list the rest. Please note that LightBurn does not support the stock M2-Nano board in the popular K40 laser. If it doesn't work, sometimes it only takes a day or two to make the required changes to support a new board in these existing families. ![]() If your controller is GCode, Ruida, Trocen, or TopWisdom based, even if it's not listed it might be supported already - Download the free trial and try it for yourself. More controllers will be added soon, so if you don't see yours listed, send us a message - maybe we're already working on it! Supported Trocen controllers include the AWC708C, AWC608, and TL-3120. Supported Ruida controllers include the RDC6442G/S, RDC6445G, RDC6332G, RDLC-320A, and R5-DSP. Supported GCode controllers, include Grbl, Smoothieware, Grbl-LPC, and Marlin. ![]() We currently support most Ruida, Trocen, TopWisdom, and GCode based controllers. LightBurn talks directly to your laser, without the use of additional software. LightBurn is layout, editing, and control software for your laser cutter. ![]()
